Lexi and the Strangers make sweet, heartbreaker country music. She began playing shows at 8 years old when she would step up during the set breaks at her Daddy's shows and proceed to break every heart in the house with her sweet voice. Now she picks with an outfit of Bloomington's finest seasoned musicians. Mark Minnick locks down the drums and Matt Brookshire rocks the bass. The Strangers often include local heroes Berry Elkins on mandolin and picker Dan of the White Lightning Boys. The sound is rounded out by Matt Lundquist on the pedal steel.
The annual waiter/waitress race pits the best of Bloomington’s restaurant service professionals against one another for a year’s worth of bragging rights. Each team of servers competes to see who can complete the obstacle course quickly and without spilling the beverage they’re carrying. The first team to complete the task and pop the cork on their bottle of champagne wins.

Not so long ago, bands like Poison, Guns N' Roses, Mötley Crüe and Skid Row were selling millions of records and playing sold-out arenas across the country. One tribute band has tapped into the nostalgic energy of the "Decade of Decadence" like no other. Delivering uncanny live performances and the wildest, never-ending party since Axl Rose was welcoming millions of rabid fans to his rock n' roll jungle! It's called Hairbangers Ball, and the crazy train has left the station, complete with the monster hair, the tattoos, the leopard print spandex, pyrotechnic masterpieces and all the make-up you can handle. As the name suggests, this is not just a band. It is the wildest party coming to a rock shop near you. We are not exaggerating when we tell you that this six piece is blowing the roofs off of large clubs and venues both figuratively and literally. Whether you are 21, 25, 30 or 40 years old, Hairbanger's Ball is a chronic party on maximum overdrive.
"Rod Tuffcurls and The Bench Press is like the cover band that's never seen a cover band." - Said a smart, observant man.
